I do love Pterry's representation of the fair folk.

Being a sort of adopted Scot - in that I've been brought up with much Scottish folklore, and play the pipes - I am finding it incredibly amusing.

I imagine them as little Liverpudlians somehow, since I live fairly near to there. It's funny how they got kicked out of the Fairy world for being drunk and disorderly though :D

hee! Now that's mad. I can only ever see them as blue-faced Scots, and I love the play on words with ';pictsies'... :D It is such a great book.
